In the life of Gumbrih Village
Putu started growing organic oyster mushrooms several years ago. Largely self-taught, he experimented with growing spores and developing his own unique machinery and production process. We will have an opportunity to observe his farming process as well as sample and taste mushrooms.
Edi has a passion for animals. He rescues wildlife of all types, temporarily cares for them, and reintroduces them into their proper habitats. We will learn about his work, the stories of the animals, and the role that different animals play in our ecosystem.
EdiFarmers in Gumbrih also set up small pools in the middle of rice terraces to raise fish. Learn about the process of raising freshwater fish using jungle river water. Opportunities to sample and buy fresh gurami are provided in this activity.
