I had the chance to visit beautiful west Bali together with Made and Alan, who took me for a tour a couple of months ago. This project has a lot of potential and will benefit the local inhabitants greatly. Made and Alan are making a huge positive impact on the island.

I am so pleased to part of Wirausaha West Bali as this project has a very meaningful vision that covers many aspects that I am passionate about: entrepreneurship, arts, environment, culture being some of them. This is why I am so grateful to have been invited to visit the land and meet the local communities. Indeed, projects can be only an idea unless we see something, or meet the people who will benefit from the outcome of a plan. Thus, I witnessed the beauty of the land and the extend of what it is possible to do with it. The possibilities are numerous and when Wira showed me the diagram of what is planned I was really impressed.
The surrounding environment helped me to mentally picture what could be the end result of the venture. Surely that tasting the wonderful fruits and coconuts was helping! The culture side of the project was also strongly present during this visit as we visited local temples. Not to mention crashing at a traditional wedding! But surely that I will remember for long the concert of bamboo percussion that we have been offered, with youth proudly drumming on small to huge bamboos to create a very vibrant music, all of this while being surrounded by a crowd of kids. The most important though, is the passion that Alan and Wira are putting in this project. A lot of ideas fail because of lack of commitment, but I am so pleased to see how passionate they are to create this dream project and I am dedicated to support it as much as I can.
I met Wira and Alan through a friend during my first trip to Bali, Ubud. And now I’ll be without a doubt, coming back for more. The opportunity to visit West Bali was extended to me and through that experience, they’ve opened my eyes and broadened my perspective on Balinese culture and beliefs – which I new little of.
Our 1-day road trip consisted of a bunch of multi-racial strangers (eventually friends, of course), interesting exchange of stories, several stop-bys, good food and captivating views
We made several stop-bys to appreciate the view of rice terraces and were educated on the irrigation system that sustained the rice paddies.

There were also many photo opportunities of beautiful beaches and rice terraces during the drive before our next stop, which was the Rambut Siwi Temple, located by the beach overlooking the Indian Ocean. As a sign of respect and etiquette, we had to put on a modest sarong for special ceremonies such as wedding or temple festivals. We climbed the stairs of the temple and were just awed by the scenery on the top of the rocks. We were then brought to Wira’s grandparents’ homes where we were warmly welcomed and had the chance to visit site of Wirausahawan’s potential Learning Centre. There, Wira shared his aspirations on making his sketches to live with Allan and other contributors that may help West Balinese children who had little access to education. Meanwhile, homegrown tropical fruits such as young fresh coconut and sweet rambutans were offered to us, which were a blessing to quench our thirst under the hot weather. We also witnessed an amazing Gojeg presentation performed by the enthusiastic children and teenagers of the village, which apparently was their practice for an upcoming competition. It wasn’t part of our itinerary however, along the way to our next destination, we had golden opportunity to witness a traditional Balinese wedding and managed a couple of pictures with the bride and groom. The colorful beautifully painted boats parked by the shore were one of my favorites where fisherman would go fishing into the Indian Ocean at night and only return the following morning to sell their earnings to the market. It’s a sight to see!
I’d like to thank Wirausaha for the excursion at West Bali and the opportunity to meet and interact with beautiful people, culture and art. To more beautiful West Bali memories!

It was a really incredible opportunity for me to see such a pristine and beautiful sea on the beach. I was enchanted with forests, seas, and all environment created by God, and it was a time of spiritual illumination. West-Bali was one of the world's must-see region.

West-Bali was an area of outstanding natural beauty, and it was too beautiful for words. It was a great opportunity to visit there, and I had the most memorable trip ever. I was sorry that not everyone was able to see such a wonderful place.
